Sad but True
… he killed many more when he died than while he lived Judges 16:30
This is a sad indictment on the life of Samson.
Samson could surely have achieved so much more in life, as a leader of Israel, had he been able to control his passions, not least his anger.
A man mightily anointed by God and yet incapable of handling it, due to his weak character.
It’s the old story … highly gifted … greatly flawed.
Remember this … Who you are is always more important than what you do.
Ironically, for the believer, Samson’s obituary should be ours also, in the sense that it is only when we die that we are useful in the Kingdom.
It is only when we die to ourselves, that the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit becomes operative in us.

This is what we mean by the ‘Cross Life’.

This is what our Baptism signifies.

Filling is always preceded by Emptying.
As Jesus said “… unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds". John 2:24
